Painted Hex Head Washer Faced Self Drilling Screws Bright Zinc Plated

Our Painted Hex Head 65mm Washer Faced Slash Point Self-Drilling Tek Screws (12 x 2 3/4) are ideal for attaching metal to heavy section steel (Max 12mm) without the need to pre-drill a hole. These screws that can be powder coated in any RAL colour your project requires. The hexagon head allows for extra torque during installation, ensuring a tighter fixing. These screws are self drilling in metal up to 12mm thick.

Self drilling screws are normally used with sheet metal and steel. This painted screw has a hexagon head with a hex pattern drive. As the name suggests, this type of screw drills it's own hole and threads it as its turned in the substrate. These slash point screws have a metric partial thread with V flutes and a torque relieving slash. The screw is partially threaded with a 46mm effective thread.
