These 38mm x 5.5mm hex head self drilling screws are engineered for extra grip in thick or layered steel fixings. With a robust 5.5mm thread diameter and extended 38mm shaft, they’re ideal for structural applications where depth, holding power, and speed are essential — without the need for pilot drilling.
The integrated washer-faced hex head allows for a strong, vibration-resistant fix, while the self-drilling tek tip makes light work of light section steel up to 5.0mm thick. The Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) finish helps protect against corrosion in interior or semi-sheltered environments.
Best used for: fixing brackets through layered steel, building signage frames, secondary cladding rails, and heavier section mounting plates.
