The wafer head profile combines a wide diameter with a very low head height, sitting flat against the substrate surface with excellent clamping force and minimal visual impact. Where the fixing needs to blend with the panel rather than stand proud of it, the wafer head is the standard specification. Used daily across ACM hoarding panel installation, signage and graphics, sheet metal stitching, cladding, and ducting - anywhere a discreet, colour-matched fixing on a visible surface matters.

The range splits into two fixing types depending on substrate preparation. Wafer head self tapping screws use a sharp AB point for driving into pre-drilled holes in thin sheet metal, plastic, and timber - the preferred choice where penetration depth needs to be controlled, including hoarding panels where the screw must not penetrate through. Wafer head self drilling screws combine a drill tip with a cutting thread to penetrate steel up to 3mm without pre-drilling, making them the faster option for metal-to-metal fixing on site.
